Initially Westcotts feels like the perfect American family who seems to reach that satisfactory average of income, project and respectability. They like listening to traditional music plus they went to loads of concerts. Nonetheless they try not to be seen because these kinds of activities weren't something people of their community did. Westcotts wanted to conform to their society. Yet they may be far from being the ideal family. Eventually Jim buys a new radio to replace their broken the one which is unforeseen, and beyond repair. So she begins to wonder if friends and neighbors can notice her, and if her romance with Jim is the same as theirs.
